The Pink Whale, fabricated by Arto Monaco for StoryTown in 1954, has been restored and returned to Great Escape.

The Whale was removed in 2005 to make way for the children’s area that is now Timbertown.

“We are extremely proud of our Storytown heritage here at The Great Escape,” said Eric Gilbert, park president. “The Pink Whale symbolizes the simplicity and charm from which our park was built. We are delighted to welcome back this historic attraction and offer the opportunity for generations of families to share in this unique experience.”

An “Unveil the Whale” party to celebrate the Pink Whale’s return was held on July 11.
